Are You Ready For a Unique Tale of Terror?

“The Betrothal”, set in first century CE Roman-occupied Alexandria, is about a young woman who disappears just before her betrothal to her father’s repulsive but wealthy business partner.

The father comes to Miriam bat Isaac looking for help to find his daughter. Aside from her physical features, he describes the unique necklace she likely would be wearing.

Weeks later, through a chance encounter with a widow wearing that unique necklace, Miriam traces the missing young woman to a ship bound for Ephesus. And, at about the same time, Miriam’s husband, the jeweler who made the necklace, tells Miriam that the old man was recently murdered in a sleazy waterfront inn.

If you cannot help Miriam solve the murder, then at least accompany her on her high-stakes search for the young woman. For a little help click here.
