Have you taken a walk on today’s Canopic Way?

I spoke on the morning of March 8th at Woodland Pond, New Paltz, NY for an event sponsored by LLI [Lifetime Learning Institute]. The title of my presentation was A VISIT TO ROMAN ALEXANDRIA. To my surprise, several people asked about Alexandria today, a city I know almost nothing about. They asked: Is the Pharos Lighthouse still there (see my blogs of March 4, 6, and 12, 2014)? What is the New Library of Alexandria like (see my blog of April 28, 2015)? And is the Canopic Way still there (see my blog of February 24, 2014)? I spent that evening searching for an image of the present-day Canopic Way and believe I have found it in this picture. If any of you know otherwise, please let me know.
